Since the rules only have to be tweaked to add the new bonus points qualifications, we only have to address the verification suggestions and add the new bonus points schedule. I also agree that we should only include cichlids in the BAP program.
Amendments:
1. Any member wishing to be eligible for BAP points must contact a BAP committee member within seven days of a successful spawn. This may be done by phone, pm, or email. If done by pm or email, a legible photograph of the fry may be attached to provide proof of the successful spawn. The BAP committee person then must provide visual verification of the spawn. This can be done by one of the BAP committee, or an CCA member assigned by the BAP committee, to visit the members location and have the official BAP form signed, witnessed, and dated no later than two weeks from the BAP committee notification.
2. Bonus Points may be awarded to the member for the following circumstances:
a) 10 Points for each Article published in the Biotope or any subscribed printed publication.
b) 20 Points for a successful spawn of any species that is listed as "endangered".
c) 15 Points for a successful spawn of any species that is listed as "threatened".
d) 10 Points for each date the fry have been donated to the CCA meeting auction.
e) 5 Points for each date the fry have been auctioned at the CCA meeting auction (if donated, add the 10 points from above mentioned).
2. All fish eligible must be in the genera "cichlids".
We can control the auction points by issuing copies of a "BAP Bonus Point Coupon" to each member at the time of visual verification. Then the member can fill it out and bring it to the auction with the fish and present it to the BAP committee for the bonus points to be issued.
