Seems pretty unlikely. We haven't been overrun (and we have had nerites for several months now) with snails and we had no baby snails until we had snail eggs and then it has been a pretty small number of snails.
It would be interesting to know the reason that nerites like brackish water, is it the salt (NaCl kind) that they need or is it something else?
