What would you stock a 6FT 125G with?

Ok so im ready to do something new in my 125G. I have a few ideas of what I wanna do but Im trying to get some input from you guys. Ive narrowed it down to:

1) massive colony of Tropheus with a few gobies, petros, calvus' mixed in.

2) Tank with dwarf pikes and some sort of prolific Central or south americans to provide fry for them to eat as well as fancy plecos and different catfish.

3) I want to avoid feeding live fish but I love Arrows and Datnoids (any alternative to feeding live?)

4) South or Central American community tank? I want to see breeding behavior/color changes. I like Rotkeil Severums alot Geos.

5) I like flowerhorns but they need to be by themselves.

Please make suggestions or recommendations.

1) I like the Tropheus idea when it come to Africans I am a sucker for the Trophs. I think they have great personalities, they are always active, they come in various colors, nice size tank for them, and you just can’t go wrong with them.

2) With a 125g I would put some MD-LG size pikes with a bunch of Geos or severums I have some in with some large Parachromis and some Vieja's and they are doing well...that will look really cool. You could have a really cool aquascape as well. Plus you have been talking to me for a while about your interest in them maybe now is the time to switch it up.

4) If you don’t want to do the pikes than a SA or CA community tank would be cool. I really like the Paratheraps, Viejas, Geos; I could go on and on. All these fish will do well in your tank.

There are so many things you could with that 125g of yours, I don’t think there could be a wrong choice with any of the suggestions you came up with. I switch up my fish tanks and what I'm keeping quite often that’s the best part about this hobby. If it was me I would go with either #2 or #4.

Rapps (www.tangledupincichlids.com) has some exCichlasoma ornatus right now (closely related to festae but very seldom seen)... a pair or small group in a 125g with some dithers would be AMAZING!

Matt I have been drooling over these fish since he got them in at the begging of the month:confused0068::confused0054:! Man what I wouldn't do for a nice group of those babies!!

Same here... I've heard that this batch is really sociable (especially for wild fish) and is eating well. Probably very similar to festaes in temperment and care...but look at those colors.... and they turn electric yellow during breeding (I'm told).

Please someone local buy some of these guys, breed them and sell me babies for a couple bucks each ;)

#4 here's a video of mine. More pic's and vid here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285095

Lots of color and the action is non-stop especially when some have fry. Which for the con's is all the time. Personally I think the mid-sized CA/SA's are over looked and under rated.
