Suggestions for an entry level DSLR

I am looking for a pretty good entry level DSLR for a novice. Any suggestion on what to buy. What should I look for. I want to use it for Aquarium photography and average family use.

Everyone is going to tell you Nikon or Canon. I went with the Sony because it's the only one that has image stablization built into the body. All other brands have it built into the lens which ups the price of the lens. You can't use my photo's as a quaility guide because I'm not that good.

Two things that help to get good fish photographs are a Macro lens and a decent Flash. Since Nikon makes some of the best flash units I bought a Nikon camera(D80).

You can find some real good deals on used stuff also it will be much cheaper.

Yeah, like Kev said, if you can be allright with not having video (which all but a very few DSLRs don't have), the D80 is an incredible camera that has been out for a couple years now. You should be able to get a great deal on a used rig. That is what I have and while it may be a bit much camera for my skill level now, it's something that I will not outgrow anytime soon (or ever, lol).
