Stink Bugs... they're back...

HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE these things. There aren't enough HATES in the world to fully convey my feelings. They are a menace at the barn where I board my horse, although, fortunately, not yet at my house. I'm dreading the summer. And I used to love the summer . . .

I encountered my first one of the season today. I was at a computer looking up some stuff at work and closed my eyes to rub them. I opened my eyes and BAM! right in my face in front of me there's a stink bug walking straight towards me. I was caught off guard and shrieked like a girl as I swatted it off the desk. I completely forgot what I was doing and defeated decided to retreat back to the shop.

On the Jersey Shore we did not have nearly the problems as people further South of us did...THAT might change.
On top of one of my styros on Monday night was a Stink Bug.
YIKES.

...stink bugs...somehow manage to find my house year round...*searches for the off switch for the stink bug beacon that must be shining bright at my house now that I have got rid of my fish big enough to eat them*

I just screw a sprayer top onto a bottle of rubbing alcohol and mist 'em. No mess, kills da bug and evaporates cleanly.

ROFL@Wil... dude you crack me up.

Last night, right after I posted this I heard my 3 year old yell "Stink bug! Daddy, stink bug in my room!" He's not scared of them - he just doesn't like 'em much.

Siena has a (pink) butterfly net. Whenever we see them, she catches them and we feed them to the fish.

Evidently stink smell doesn't = stink taste (for fish at least)

My chocolate and my severums have been gorging themselves on stink bugs for the last week. They never seem to get tired of them.

My 12 yr old son keeps his ceiling fan running on high 24/7 yr round. I noticed it Was on one day and was like "dude, it's 68 deg in the house year round... Why is that ceiling fan running on high?" he's laying in bed with 2 comforters on him and his reply was "stinkbugs don't like cold"...

I walked out of the room laughing but I didn't make him turn the fan off. Our house is in the country with woods behind it so there's plenty of stink bugs runnin round. I hate em but whatcha gonna do...

Wil, I've never used spray with the lighter... But if you burn their antennas off it definitely screws em up!!! ;)

I don't know why I never thought of feeding those stankin things to my fish before. Thanks to all of you, no stinkbug in my home or classroom will be safe!
