I don't think this is the same species (I can't read french) but color wise this is pretty close to the one in the book. less stripes and more gold though.

That's some sort of Astatotilapia or Pundamilia or something, not Stigmatochromis.

There are no Stigmatochromis species I know of that the females are yellow/blue. All Stigmatochromis species are either grey/silver, or red/brown (as is the case for S. modestus females).

The only large haplochromine I can think of where the females are yellow/gold are Exochochromis anagenys:
http://www.malawi-dream.info/Exochochromis_anagenys.htm <--some of the pictured females look grey colored, there is a variant in the lake where juveniles, subdominant males and some females are grey colored and not yellow. Pretty much every single specimen you will come across in the hobby though are the really nice gold-yellow color you see at the bottom of that page

Stigmatochromis sp. 'spilostichus type', with females shown alongside the colorful male:

Here's a picture of the top male. Lots of color, despite being one of the smaller guys in with a bunch of aggressive fish. The fish below him is a submale.

LOL, that looks ALOT like what they list as a female in the Teepoot book.

Well, if it is calling that fish *any* female hap, then the book is wrong.

I'll take Ad Konings over Tepoot any day.

....Yeah, I'm a Konings fan-boy. So what? ;)
