Rescued Puppy

This is 'Bull', we think he is a mix between a Bull Mastiff and a Presa Canario. He is huge! He is only a little over a year old and over 200 pounds. He was rescued from a guy who ran Pitbull fights. A friend of mine took him in and brings him to his shop everyday. I stop in and see him a couple times a week. When he leans on you, you know it. He has bitten me before. He was chained up (usually he runs loose) and when I went to see him and didn't unchain him he got mad and grabbed my arm REALLY hard. He was only trying to get my attention, because they normally start shaking their head violently when they attack something. He will also cover you in drool if you are not careful. You do not have to bend down to pet him. His back is halfway between my knees and my hips. If he stood up, he would be taller than me!

Awesome I love big dogs yet somehow always own the tiny dogs....

One time at a car show I saw a guying walking a pair of Great Dane's with a saddles on their backs with his little son and daughter each riding them. It was one of the coolest things ever. When they laid down they looked like camels laying down. These were veeery young kids just fyi

That is a nice looking dog, better than a pit.

And why the generalized statement? No one breed is better than the other, each has its pros & cons.....

But what is your rational behind that statement? I, being a pit owner, find that to be offensive and a little ignorant...

(waits for the dangerous dogs comment....)

maybe he likes them better then pits. relax man :p. i like pits to but i like a mastiff a hole lot more:wub:. simply just what i prefer. pits get a bad name cuz of a few, like guns. guns dont kill people people kill people. remember when you took a test in school and you failed it? your pencil didnt fail it you did. so dont blame the pencil same goes for the above. i think calling a person ignorant over a simple comment is not called for.

Why the need for the comparison then? He simply could of said that was a good looking dog.

FYI I've never ever failed a test in school ;)

I know lol I'm messing with ya man!

OK GUYS (Anubias) I WAS NOT SAYING IT WAS A BETTER DOG THAN A PIT. I think it looks cool, and maybe little better than a pit. I have had 4 pits in my life time and each one has been nice and not aggressive. They are great family dogs IF you do not teach them their darker side. Pits already have a super hyper energy level and to teach them to fight becomes real easy for them to learn to be aggressive. I find that if you grow them up in a family environment, they are some of the nicest dogs. I will say, like any other dog, if they are real close to the family they will not tolerate the presence of strangers in THEIR house which is good because that makes them very good guard dogs. My pits, Gator, Duke, Princess, and Tiger were always nice, and my little nephew used to wrestle with Gator. Gator would just sit there and let my nephew paly with him. When Gator seemed to be getting tired of the playing he would just get up and leave. So TRUST me Anubias, I do like pits, and I do think they are great dogs. I just thought the picture of this dog makes him look like a real bad A**.
