Yes, you can still bid if you are helping in the auction. It won't be much different from our normal meeting auctions. Make sure you stop by the ATM prior to the event!

Is there any way to see what fish will be in the auction. Do you have to register them? What qualifies as rare?

If I can make this auction, which I a seriously hoping I can (time of night vs. wife's birthday weekend = hmmm...), I'll chip in where needed. Just unsure right now if I will be able to make an appearance... which sucks... I know something's going to be there that I want! LOL...

What fish will be in the auction won't be known until much closer to the event. All of the fish are donations, either from our sponsors and vendors (and maybe even some of the speakers) or from club members. If you have fish that you'd like to donate to the auction, please contact Michael O'Shea (discusnafricans). The fish will be on display in tanks in the speaker room once they arrive at the event. Last year we had a really good mix of Old World, New World, West African, catfish and other community type fish in the auction.

The tentitive list of donors is Dave's Rare Fish, Tangled Up In Cichlids, Wetspot, Frank's Aquarium, Bob's Tropical Plants, Cichlids of the Americas, Mike's Cichlids, and several others.

Saturday: 3:00pm-3:30pm (1 more person)

Sunday:

11:00-11:30 (3 people)

11:30-12:00 (3 people)

12:00-12:30pm (1 person)

12:30-1:00 (2 people)

1:00-1:30 (2 people)

1:30-2:00 (1 person)

I know, I know: "I'm not going to lose out on the Sunday Marketplace by volunteering to help on Sunday."

Well what if helping out at registration on Sunday actually got you into the Marketplace earlier?

Could three members who are only registering for the Marketplace take the 11:30 - noon slots on that day? You'll go to the head of the noon entry line at the end of your shift...

Whoever takes any of the other Sunday Registration spots will be at the absolute front of the line for entering the Sunday Marketplace at 11:30 AM
