Ok reading over this forum I'm a little confused...

Now for malawi checking if a mouth brooder just spit is no big deal they will take care of the fry......... but I have a lot of tangs that will spit then eat the fry a day later or 2 days... or even that same day !

Hmmmmmmm ??????

I'm also confused on how certain fish get put into a certin slot.....

Like for example pretrochromis..... and petro. trav. ..... this doesnt make any sense ! Petro trav is considered one of the easier ones to breed but yet you have just a general petrochromis in catagory C instead of D...... it should be switched in my opinion

Another one.....xenos???? xenoes are easy to keep NOT easy to breed. There are a lot more that made me think twice on the list.

Just curious as to who made the catagories up I guess??

It's on my head. (I'd drag Francine into this, kicking and screaming, but I'm feeling generous today . . . or maybe it's that fourth cup of coffee . . . or maybe it's that when Francine explaiend *exactly* what would happen to me if I did so, I believed her.)

Regarding the placement of genus/species within particular categories (i.e., A. B, C, D), well, like the Guidelines say, "A CCA member may petition the BAP Committee at anytime regarding the relative difficulty of breeding one species versus the others within the genus. The burden of proof, however, is on the CCA member." So, if you want to argue in favor of a change, go for it!

As for fry getting eaten before they reach the second check date, that one's easy: no credit. One of the requirements is to keep 'em alive for sixty days.
