I would have picked G if it had been centered. Crop tool!!!!!

Centering like everything else is in the eye of the camera holder. lol

Actually I try never to center.
If you talk to people on AP or our old buddy Bobby, they all tell you to
never center. And always leave more space at the front of the fish to make il look like its going somewhere.

But this contest is all personal taste. Thats whats cool about it.
A cool capture can beat a technically correct photo.

^^^^^^ I agree 100%

In far from an expert, but to me, pictures can easily be over-cropped. When this happens, to me, they look over-processed.

Again, all in the eye of the beholder, I just like a little more space in front of the fish. This also makes the fish's face (which should be in focus) the focal point of the picture.

THATS CUZ JUST ABOUT EVERYONE HAS THEM :D OR HAS HAD THEM AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. GO TO A LFS YOU DONT SEE MANY SA/CA OTHER THEN MIDAS AND OSCARS ;)

It's so nice to see so many pretty pretty cichlids and awesome pictures!:) My husband had to help me decide! IMHO there are many SA/CA that are wonderful as well. I love my discus! Gold sevrums are lovely. A Dempsey tank can be a sight and some of those rams are awfully cute! Although some don't display, shall we say the African spirit, heck I've had even an angel and a discus that had to be moved to tanks by themselves because they were not able to play nice with others in species only tanks :D. This is nothing to say against the numerous varieties of Africans that are so impressive and fun! That's what I love about cichlids- so many awesome varieties and they actually have personality!
