Although I agree that most wild labiatus that I have seen have big lips, I wouldn't say that is an indicator of them being wild caught. Unless the pet store bought wild ones from Jeff Rapps when he imported them earlier this year, I doubt they are wild. That doesn't mean they aren't good fish. Keep us posted as they put on some size.

The newest issue of Amazonus suggests that there are variations of midas with large lips in addition to labiatus with the same features.

What Matt is saying is without knowing the source of your fish you can't assume ones lab or cit, most are going to be midevils, even those labels as Midas and Red Devils in store that have both are usually the same midevils.

I'm guessing these are in the 10 gallon you threw my GT into when I dropped him off...

These cannot be midevil at all only real true res devil have those lips midas will never have those lips and nope is not a 10 gallon is a 3 ft long
