I can cry right now... My sump is 2" too wide to fit in the side of my stand without modification...I will need to take a saw to my beautiful new stand....:(

I think I have every saw known to man.

When are you planning to wreck this thing?

Text me with details.

I bet we could figure out how to do it w/o the saw.

Thai, about to send you a PM with my cell.
I'm about to leave to go to Eric's and get me you know what.

My thoughts...
That is the side of the tank and cutting there will no look good.
I have a saw to do the job but is there something that will cover the hole after?
what about going thru the back? easier to cut one of those 3-4 inch pieces is the back and squeeze thru there. But I guess that means moving the whole thing.

I'll pack the saw and head to Eric's now. call me and I can stop by and we can see what can be done.

Thanks to frank for stopping by and helping me get my sump into the stand! Boy was it guy wrenching having your dream tank and stand cut into! Once the cut was done we got the sump in and then I glued, patched and painted it should look close to original when it dries!

Before

The puzzle after the cut...

My first attempt at glueing and patching wood

Than sanded down and painted

The end result is I got my sump in, plumbing delayed til tomorrow waiting on a coupler

Glad that it worked out and you restored my cutting nicely. :)
I went saw happy knowing you had that panel covering the entire side.

But I felt bad cutting that nice tank. Gorgeous tank BTW. seeing it in person was great. take care and please keep the progress pics coming.

Not blasting sand, too soft for that it's used as a flooring aggregate 3 50lb bags was enough for my 300.
