Little Big Fish

This weekend I totally scored at TFW and another LFS. Ended up finding both a small group of 2.5" Tyranocrhomis macrostoma and a medium-sized pair of Aristchromis christyi (3" m/4" f). And though a bit more common, I also scored a small group of Dimidiochromis compressiceps.

All are still in quarantine, but once they're clear, the christyi will move straight over to the 180. The other guys need a bit more growing out.

I'll see if I can snap some pictures tonight.

Between these guys and the Fossochromis group I have growing out, I'm beginning to see the eventual 180 stock coming together.

Still looking for a decently-small male Champsochromis caeruleus to join them some day. All I have seen for sale at the LFS (5"+) would make snacks out of my other predator juvies.

Good eye on the fossos. They have that diamond pattern on the side.

The last guys are fenestratus, but in all honestly, the solid horizontal stripe with a fainter stripe under the dorsal is a pretty common juvie/female hap pattern. Red Empress as well as spilonotus both have almost this same pattern.
