lol George.... you sound like me. Two tanks by the window.
I have some luck here and there. Just remember you are using a shallow tank... you probably don't need much light. I can't grow high light plants or picky plants... but most of my tanks are 13 inches high and I have about 70 watts or so.... about 6 inches off the tanks.
