And remember to check on current injuries also. Someone forgot to do that in another fantasy league I'm in and drafted someone who's gonna be out for like 8 weeks w/ his second pick.

Remember to draft your defense early there are only ten really good defenses out there and you don't want to be stuck with the deadskins for a defense.
I also just checked Yahoo because it said the draft was at 5:30 and I rushed back from Virginia Beach to be here at 5:30 only to remember that friggin Yahoo runs on west coast time, Idiots! I should have paid closer attention. Duh!

I did my homework over the weekend for our Draft and I believe I came out pretty good.
Last year, my draft was average, but I used gorilla tactics and strategies to over come the odds and almost win it all. I came in Second last year and I'm proud of it because it was my very first Fantasy Football league.
I tell ya what, I learned a lot last year, but this year is going to be better!
When you play Fantasy Football, you look at the NFL with a completely different perspective.
Looking forward to the competition this year again and all the smack talk.

Yesterday was fun, but frustrating too. Getting last pick made it difficult, but I came out ok. Didn't do as much homework as I needed too though, drafted 2 people who start on suspension, and at least one with questionable injuries. We'll see how it goes. This is my first time, so I'm looking forward to it.

I have a lot more respect for teams like Oregon State, Va Tech and Pitt for adding the non-BCS powers to their schedules when teams like Ohio State and Alabama are afraid of them. Didn't work out very well for my Panthers, but that's because Wannstedt is an idiot offensively speaking. Now Boise just needs to run the table and hope that Va Tech does too, 'cause an 8-4 Va Tech does Boise no good come BCS title time.
Not to mention that your best WR is holding out.

I am thinking about changing the playoff structure to 6 teams instead of 4 so that some folks don't lose interest early on like last year. Is anyone opposed to this? I will still keep the playoffs ending in week 16, so we can minimize the effects of teams sitting star players in week 17 of the NFL schedule.

I missed the draft but still got a okay team. I wont be in the playoff thought. Yahoo put out a fantasy football app for the iPhone. Their may be one for the droid.

OK, no one complained about it, and a few people liked the idea, so I went ahead and changed it. So there will now be 6 playoff teams, and the playoffs will start a week sooner and will run weeks 14-16.
A reminder-you can make 5 moves a week, and a total of 30 for the season.
Season starts tomorrow-good luck to everyone! May the injury bug bite meekly.
