Ah I see how having them for the Jan meeting would be a problem
. We need to find out the date of the Friday before the meeting, then call her and give her the date we would like them delivered.
Also find out when the latest she will take orders for that delivery date. Then post a new thread with a cutoff date to order, inform her this a a CCA group buy. Everyone calls and pays directly. One person should pay for the shipping then divide by the number of people that ordered. As they pick up the fish they owe the pick up person that amount.
Not sure if we need to clear with the board to use the CCA name for a group buy or not. Maybe you should PM Pat Kelly.
Figured since you suggest the buy you want to take the lead yes....

Herps are outside the scope of the Capital Cichlid Assotiation, Inc stands for and this purchase should therefore be treated as a group of individuals interested in getting together to purchase these animals. The forum is just the vehicle for which a civil discussion can take place.

Here is the thing... we are NOT making an account with Cichlids, and Herps. We are simply just making a purchase.
It would be easier for people to call in and distinguish themselves by saying that they are part of the order for CCA.
The order is for members of the CCA, minus myself- I am sorry that I don't want to join the CCA group, but I don't keep a variety of cichlids. I keep Frontosa. I do not keep any other type of cichlids. I keep more monster fish, so I benefit more from a different fish club. Nothing against anyone, it's just a preference.
I can simply call the order in, and tell them that members of the CCA are going to be adding to this order- either way I don't see the issue, as I am not using the name other than to distinguish whose orders gets placed where.
It's just a group buy- people want their orders to ship together simply to save money on shipping.. not like we want some special discount or anything..
I just think that this was taken way out of proportion. A simple, "no. it would be best to use your own name." would have sufficed.
Someone else can organize this group buy if it's such an issue.

I suggest the group order be named after your Avatar "mshill90" and call it a day.
You have to recognize the legality of the whole issue when using the the club's name.
Our President wasn't trying to offend anybody, she was just giving you the facts.

Emails cause a lot of misunderstandings primarily because they are misunderstood when read quickly.. It's all ironed out. Mshill90 just wants the CCA people who want to go in with her order to tell the vendor that you are with CCA because that is how she set it up.
