Cichlids and Herps Group Buy

I would like to make a group order for Cichlids and Herps, and I was wondering who else would be interested.

I would say can meet at the February meeting, but I am not a member so I don't think I would be allowed to attend, and I don't know when it is.

i may be interested in a herp order.
Currently have a bunch of axolotls that the work to feed them is almost over since they will all be on daphnia soon so i got time to take on a new prject

LOL i have about 30 growing out right now so ill soon have some available for shipping as juvies.

I want to get them on pellets before i ship them

You dont have to be a member just show up to the meeting
then you can sign up there and be an Official member its worth it

I may be interested also. I was very happy with my first purchase from them and they have a great selection. Prices are generally very good too.

Well, I will call them and see what I can get worked out as far as shipping them. I am thinking that what would be easiest is to have it shipped to me, and then I can re-bag oxygenate them according to each persons order.

I've not placed a group order with them before, but I have heard tons of good things about them.

Any advice on a group buy?

The best idea would be to have the order shipped to someone that is central of all the people ordering. Then have a meetup at the persons house or at a specified location and distribute the order. All in the same day. Or have the order shipped to BWI and everyone can meet at the airport, etc.
No need to re-bag anything.

Im in Glen Burnie, close to BWI. I could do the pick up on a Friday. If anyone want to come over and pick up the fish thats fine. Or I can bring to the meeting Sat. I will not rebag anything... so it would be your call. Obviously if I see major things I would rebag.

Just throwing it out there, I may even drive a bit to a meeting location. Maybe within 30-40 minute drive. We can see who is in, but it looks like we have until the 3rd Sat for the meeting. That gives us plenty of time to get this going. The website did say they preffer SW airlines, so that leads me to believe they may only ship to airport.

She ships to BWI through SW. Just work out a date with her. She is some what flexible .... but is a very busy woman.

Tell her it's CCA again.... she was really please with me/us last time I did a group buy with her. I would help run this one but I have another group buy coming up.

It's best not to touch the bags... because then you can be to blame if something bad happens. Try to time it so there are no issues and you don't need to rebag. Of course if something happens on the spot you need to try to save them.

Yes I would have shipped to BWI- I didn't really understand what my fiance was telling me, and he's like WTF Melissa?! haha.

It would be pick up at BWI.

the only thing is that I don't think the order would be in time for the meeting.. so everyone would have to pick up at BWI or have a fellow CCA'er pick up for you.

Why dont you think the order would be here by the Feb meeting? It has been moved till the 3rd week. Usually 1 week before pick up is the cutoff for ordering. I think everyone should know what they want and order giving them a month or so???

Unless you know something I dont, thats the way it usually works.
