It was someone in VA - but who - no clue.
I don't need black silicone, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a difference between the two. I couldn't figure out why multiple people mentioned the color of the silicone if I was just going to strip it all out and reseal the whole thing, unless there was something special about the black stuff.
I know I can theoretically get away with just resealing where the leak is, but I'd rather do the whole thing because it looks like someone gobbed on some silicone in an attempted repair and sort of made a mess of it.
