My latest breeding pair of red kois are phenomenal. After 3 tries, they got it right and are legit raising their fry all the way. This is two weeks since hatching, and mom and dad show no signs of wanting to eat their young. In fact, they are model parents. The fry follow mom and dad, even nibble on their slime coat. And the parents do something I have never seen angels do: they take turns. Mom could be hiding in the plants in the corner taking a break while dad is out protecting the fry. An hour later I look and their roles are reversed. It's pretty amazing. Just check out the pics!!
