I am trying to. I am new to breeding but have been inspired by others. At what point do I submit the form? Is posting to the BAP form enough for the first check? Do we get points if we keep getting fry from the same species?

Send a PM to Shawn to get enrolled in the program. The picture above is sufficient for the first check. The 2nd check needs to be in 90 days (I think). Lots of folks will sell fry in the monthly auctions and use those for the 2nd check. You get bonus points for auctioning fish you spawned, but auctioning is not necessary. You just need someone to physically see the fish.
You can only get points once per fish unless they are a CARES species. See the sticky thread in the BAP section for details.

Nice job Richard! As Jon said, turn in the breeder report when your fish are one inch long(or longer) and you are ready sell them.
