Astatotilapia Desfontainii

Hi All, I decided to post here because dogofwar is a member of Capital Cichlids and I was hoping to get some information about this fish. It is on the CARES list, as it is almost without certainty extinct in the wild. It is a beautiful haplochromine from Tunisia. I was wondering if any of you on capitalcichlids.org has been entrusted with the care of these fry, originating from only four known to exist in captivity. That is, all of these come from only four parents. Would like to see photos, possibly use them in an article with permission of course.

Let me open up the thread to CARES fish: What if any CARES fish have you kept and or bred?

Astatolipia Desfontainii is still being worked on to make it more available but I see it hasn't really reached the CCA yet. Too bad.
