Astatotilapia Burtoni

Anyone breeding these in the club? Beautiful fish; looks like a Victorian, but is usually found in the rivers outside Lake Tanganyika. I have a lone female that I'd like to find a male for or adopt to someone who wants to expand their breeding group. Attached a picture I found for reference. Apparently these were one of the earlier imported Africans and used to be readily available, but don't seem to be common in this area/time.

Thanks. Dave's rare fish has them for about the same price. I will probably order some from him in a few months if I don't find any locally before the next group order.

Finding reliable images using google can be a crap shoot. I know burtoni is what I'm looking for, just pulled an image from the web for reference. They're just like Victorians, they all look alike
