1) It's huge! There will be 500 to 600 cichlididiots in attendance!
2) There will fish for sale.
3) There will be a big, BIG A$$, show.
4) A lot of folks that you may have just read about will be in attendance.
5) The Georgia Aquarium.
6) The BABES Oral Auction.
7) Uwe Romer, Ken Davis, Wayne Leibel, Mo Devlin, just to name a few.
8) The hotel is fabulous.
9) The biggest auction you'll ever see.
10) A huge cichlid experience!

That's all I could think off on the cuff.

In other words... a fishperson's dream weekend. (Ah - I remember..This is where you take your fish photos to exhibit..and leave the livestock home.) Tell me more about how you get fish home to MD... if you fly to the show. 'Cuz you can't go to an auction and not bid... AND you know the very fish you have been wanting will be for sale. Plus there will be prizes and surprises!

Good question Marge~~
It used to be easy to carry fish with you in "carry on" luggage on planes.
With airport security as it is, I don't know if you can do that anymore or not.

Anyone know?

To add to Franny's list.....

AAAA has some outstanding members and is working their butts off to make this a smash hit and I know we wont leave disappointed.(Even if I am biased by former membership) :angel2:

Think that should be #1.

Thanks

Check fish in your luggage, A standard Florida fish box will fit inside any large luggage. Tape it shut, zip up the bag and check it. I frequently fly to give talks to fishclubs and always take a box of fish with me. Ken

Ken, looking at the site, looks like there are discounts for some items for booking early. Is this correct?

Oh yeah, I will be there... I am showing about 6 different species... One of which is a lwanda; don't expect him to place but we'll see..

They're judging on Friday night? Is this unusual? I like it! It will certainly give all involved with the show's results a chance to collect data, have photos taken and ready for the Banquet and the compiled info to Claudia for the BB.

They usually do that. That way they have plenty of time for the Power Point and such.
They just keep good secrets. lol

Gives us more time to do the program for the banquet, last time we hosted the convention Brian and Ray worked all day Saturday and missed all the talks and barely finished in time. :) Ken
