Still, unfortunate, given how many folks in the club are into plecos.

I actually had a different question - for auctioned fish to qualify for BAP points, must they be donated to the auction?

The fish do not have to be donated to qualify for the bonus points, they just need to be put in the auction.

Also, you do not need to even auction off the fish to receive the points. A breeder only needs to show the fish to a committee member. The auction gives you a bonus of points equal to the category of the fish points. So if you were to sell me some L183 juvies and turn in a BAP form, you would get the 10points for breeding a catfish but not the bonus 10pts for auctioning them off.
