Another meeting will be here soon. Hopefully you and your fish are happy and well. Since happy fish breed you should consider participating in CCA's Breeders Award Program. Participation is fun and easy. The rules are on the 2nd and 3rd sticky on here:

When your fish breed, start a thread with photos/videos of fry. When they are 1" bring them to a meeting, (most choose to sell them for bonus auction points) show the bag to a committee member, and complete the form here:

Email a copy of the form to BAPforCCA@gmail.

Every year we all start at 0 (zero) so you don't have to worry about Reed earning 340 points last year or Christine bagging 795 points the year before. So far this year Jon Clark is in the lead with 110 points. However, Reed has 60 points and just sent me 5 (yes FIVE) forms. It's not too late to join.

Its a three person race between Jon(160pts), Reed(130pts), and Christine(30pts). Literally only 3 people are participating! Until I get forms from some others.... cough, cough, Peck, cough. It's not too late to start turning in BAP forms.

I know I submitted a spawn at some point, but I don't think I ever got points for it, despite donating several juveniles to the auction. I'm sure I haven't enough points to ever be competitive, but it's more the principle.

If I'm wrong and the points were registered at some point, let me know.

Shawn - Is it possible to go back and update the overall points for individuals? I don't think the points for 2014 were ever posted.

Becca you received 50(?) points for the spawn and presentation. If I missed something, please let me know.

I think you've got the point right for me but I'd like to double check.

Jon - each person listed above has a thread in the BAP participants forum but they are out of order. I checked those before posting the update above, but I'm not perfect and still may have missed something. lol

Ah. I see what's happened.

There are individual threads with each participant for each year. In the past, there was one overall thread for each participant that listed all the species bred since they entered the program, and accounted for an overall points total since inception. These threads are further back in history.

At one point in time, new threads were started for each year and only account for each year's points. I see the ones you created for 2015.

I would advocate going back to the overall points, and maybe indicating within the thread which year the points are attributed to. Personally, it looks like I may not have gotten credit for one species I spawned, but I'd have to go to multiple threads to find out.

I'll see if I can help consolidate.

A little unrelated, but are catfish spawns always just 10 points? What about for rare L-numbers? Thanks

Yup. All catfish spawns are 10 points. Remember, we are a cichlid club, after all.
