Here's a video I shot a couple of weeks ago featuring my LDA33 Baryancictrus "snowball" and L134 Peckoltia "Leopard Frog" plecos munching down on some algae wafers. Towards the end, I pan over to the group of 4 Gymnogeophagus sp. "Blue Neon" I picked up from Jeff Rapps last month. They're...

    Albino vs. Brown BN Plecos

I've noticed that my Albino BN Plecos seem less shy than my Brown ones. The three albinos I have are rarely ever hiding in their tanks and do no flee upon my approach. The three brown ones I have are hardly ever out. If they are out and I get too close to the tank they dart for cover. So I'm...

    Plecos... what is the difference

OK I am confused with the difference if there is one between bushy nosed and bristled nose plecos. I go to one LFS and I see bushy nose, go to another and see bristled nose but to me they look to be the same pleco. Is there a difference or is it just the difference of what people call them? John

    Plecos

I am having an issue keeping the plecos alive in my Cichlid tank. I don't know if it is that they cannot handle the salt or what the problem may be. I have had two die within the last couple months. Them largest peacock I have is about 4-5 inches and the plecos have always been larger then...

I know we're a cichlid club, but bristlenose plecos are da bomb!

I recently ordered six (got seven) small long-finned albino BN plecos -- all in an attempt to get a girlfriend for my mature long-finned boy. In the meantime, my fairly newly set up planted African tank was getting brown and green algae and making me crazy. So two of the new guys (less than 2"...
