plants

Hey folks, what is safe for use in the aquarium for attaching live plants to wood. I am also going to suspend a branch or two of wood from the surface, probably from an uptake tube. Other than zip-ties, what do you all use?

Pretty random but worth a shot, I'm looking to find a local person with java moss they don't need or any foreground plants that would survive an SA cichlid tank. I'm located out in NoVA.

I realize in some aquatic circles artificial plants are the devil, but figured I'd pass the word that Michaels has most of their plants 50% off.

So, I've heard several folks talk about the best plants for using with African Cichlids, but do any of you worry about acclimating your plants to the high pH and hard water? Do you need to do it with some plants and not others?

I have a few fish that are tearing up my plants and I do not want to pay more money to keep replacing plants so I am going to switch over to plastic plants with a few real plants interspersed. If you have some sitting around and you want to get rid of them please let me know.
