I have a female Ouachita map turtle and a male red eared slider. The red eared slider I rescued from an illegal street vendor and hand fed him until he would eat on his own. The Ouachita map turtle I got from the turtle source based in Florida. When I got both turtles, I was interested in turtles and only turtles. Now that I am into fish and planted tanks, I can't cross the 2 interests together. I have been thinking about re-homing the 2 for a while, but i have stalled becuase I have a connection to them and they bring me joy. Which is why I want them to go to a great home. It doesn't have to be a High tech planted tank like they are in now, but a large tank, proper basking area, and love, which brings me to my next point. Once they get used to you, every time you come up to the tank they will greet you and want attention, just like a dog. The red eared slider, who's name is Tuck, will stay at the glass while you greet him, the ouachita map, who's name is Little Rocco, will swimming over for a quick hello, and then proceed with graceful covering the bottom area of the tank. Tuck is about 3-4 inches, and will max out at around 5 inches. Little Rocco is about 3 inches, and may max out at Around 7 inches. I named Little Rocco before I found out she was a female, so her name may be changed. I would like to keep Tuck's name, but it's your choice. These turtles are free to a great home, a home that can give updates would be great. I will include non rooted plants that they don't eat, as well as hardscape materials like 48 inch branchy manzanita, and rocks, becuase they love that.
Thanks!
