Hemichromis guttatus spawn!

My Hemichromis guttatus have been spawning in a community tank about every week or so and I haven't bothered to try to siphon out any fry as of yet. They finally spawned where I can see them, so maybe I'll be able to remove the coconut hut that the eggs are on. We'll see!

(And yes, these are H. guttatus.....Anton confirmed that for me)

Nice. I think the lifalili I got from you are almost to breeding size. I'm starting to see a lot of territorial posturing and nipped fins on other tank mates.

I managed to grab a few of these before they succumbed to the other tank's occupants during this last spawn. They're sucking down microworms like there's no tomorrow!

I'll post a better pic when I've got the good camera downstairs.

I got some of the lifalili as well - they were out and about the other day with lots of displaying and activity :)
