Couple of quick questions.

How can I get started?
Can I receive points for fish that have already spawned?

Get started by sending George (turfboss) a PM telling him you would like to participate. Fry need to be verified to receive points. The first verification is shortly after spawning, the second 90 days later. Unfortunately we cannot award points for fish spawned in the past.

In practice once you are set-up the process has gone like this:

Fish spawn
Post a picture in forum
Grow fry for 60 to 90 days
Bring fish for auction and form to the meeting - or fill out form and have member verify
get points

In terms of points basically it breaksdown

10 - easy
20 - moderate
30 - difficult but spawned by advanced breeders
50 - very rarely spawned

So what fish qualify as difficult? Most CA species are very rough on their mates. I guess fish like Nandopsis Hatiensis/ Grammodes/ Beani would those qualify? Two of those are hard to keep alive much less spawning them. Just wondering is there a list of those type of fish that earn more points?

Most of the big guys are at least 20 PTs. The ones you list are 30 PTs.

It looks like none of the 50 pointers are Central Americans. However the 50 pointers are ones that are typically challenging to keep alive without factoring in aggression.
