One of the largest private tropical freshwater tanks trying to re home fish due to cost. Sounds like the nightmare we all might have but on a larger scale

That sucks i guess the electric companies in Europe are just as crazy as they are here. 700 bones a month and that's before he feeds them. Can't imagine what he spends on food

I think there are ways to warm water without using that much electricity...if a tank that size is kept at 80 degrees do you have to heat the rest if the house since it takes up two floors and like a quarter of his house

Maybe the London aquarium will help him out. They have large displays for both North and South American fish.

Wow what a story. I think there are probably a few of us who can relate to this story, maybe not to this extreme but all the same. I really hope he can work something out for all his family members.....

He should charge for people to spend the night in that room like a B&B. What a beautiful tank to fall asleep in front of. I bet people would pay for that.

I think even pay to help him clean and swim with the fish...probably a large insurance cost for that.
