did you know fish love grasshoppers ?

grasshoppers are very abundant this time of year. i grab a few dozen and drop them into the tank and watch the mayhem begin during the feeding frenzy. another good protein source free from mother earth .

yes - they're great for fish big enough to eat them

My daughter catches them and others with a bug net and we feed them together

Crickets!
I have fed them to many of the larger Tangs that I have kept (ooops, did I say that I kept/keep Tangs?).
Fronts, Sexfasciatus, Brichardi, Chalinochromis...
I do not use any type of pesticide inside or outside, so I feel safe feeding crickets.
