Does anyone keep these. Any advice about keeping them would be greatly appreciated.

I have kept and bred this species before. They are generally considered one of the easier Apistos to breed.

If you go to any of the larger auctions, they're usually available.

I just got a M/F pair from Totally Fish in Silver Spring, MD. (I think it's in Silver Spring). Anyhow, the pair was only $24.99, which is a bargain compared to Northern Virginia prices.

They are great fish, and are quite curious, even after only 2 days in my tank.

Larry-T, do you have any special advice on breeding them?

As far as breeding them, they are considered one of the easiest Apistos to spawn. All I did was put them in a 10 gal heated tank with a cave, live plants, a sponge filter, and a varied diet. A few weeks later I saw fry.
