Anyone have any spare Jet Lifters?

These are the little plastic air things often used with sponge filters and Poret foam...

Thanks,
Matt

Anyone have a simple DIY or other source for them? Hate paying $10 each for a bit of plastic, even German plastic...

If it makes you feel any better, I recall talking to one of the AquaMania sponsors last year and they had been trying to source the materials as well....no luck. It's European magic!

Had something to do with specific non-us sizes and odd pipe diameters.

Matt, you can also bend PVC if you are looking for that gradual turn vs. a 90 degree elbow. You can use a heat gun or boil the PVC for a while to soften it up. In order to prevent crimping at the bend point, I've heard that filling it with sand just prior to bending (after heating) will help.

The main thing that makes the jetlifter work (pump water) is the gap between the tubes (with small holes in the inside tube).

There are also 45 degree PVC pieces (or the electrical conduit that has turns).

Was hoping to find a cheap Chinese knock-off but it doesn't sound like there's anything floating around.

I bought 2 at OCA in 2014. Figured they could not be that much better than my DIY ones. I now wish I had bought 20 more. lol
