I'd buy wilds if I were you...
They take YEARS to grow out... it's like watching paint dry.
I have a breeding pair but I never save fry just because they take too darn long to grow out !!

I agree with Sarah. You can get wilds for 25-30 per fish and be sure to get a male or two and harem of females if that is what you want. Mine are breeding but they hatch very small and don't grow fast at all.
