Why can't my LFS ever get it right

So I picked up this "ovatus" a few weeks back and I am beggining to think its C. Azureus not O. Ovatus. Any ideas? Also the second pic is my S. Fryerii I was confident it was a male but its the dominant fish and it just won't color up its over three inches but still quite bland please give me your thoughts on him too. Thanks again guys you never let me down.

A few more pics of both one shows some blue on the ahli by his jaw and pointed fins but very little color else where
