Comment was utterly sincere, but as you astutely point out, I pulled a mickey on the designation, XX was indeed intended. YY females apparently do exist or can be created in some species but are impossible with humans, which is entirely consistent with my experience of the "fairer" sex.

I was not going to post, since this is Old World, and I'm more of a New World guy... but since the answers here have been from both...

My favorite is a tie. I love female festae, and I love bocourti, the most. Ironically, I have neither at the moment! LOL...
