Hi everyone,

I am winning an auction for:

2 Staurogyne Repens
4 Hydrocotyle Verticillata
1 Bunch of Hydrocotye Sp Japan
1 Alternanthera Reineckii Mini - Rare
1 Big Bunch Of Mayaca
2 Stems of Rotala Rotundifolio
3 Stems Ludwigia Sp Red
2 Stems of Ludwigia Arcuata x Repens
4 Water sprites
Frog bits
1 bunch of Taiwan moss

And was wondering what type of lighting would be needed for them in a 10g tank. Thanks

Lucas

No offense, but shouldn't you have looked into that before buying the plants? You have needs represented all the way across the board from low-light, all the way up to high light and needing CO2 to thrive...

Youre right. But what would be the best light for the tank even if it isnt the perfect one for all of them. Thanks

Single bulb t5ho should do the trick as long as it has a good reflector. 10 gallon is going to be stuffed many of the planrs won`t thrive that tightly packed and you`re going to have a hard time planting them so tight.

Many on the list need a good substrate and co2. DIY co2 isn`t hard to set up to get you by for a while, but you`ll want a pressurized system by the third or fourth bottle of DIY, it`s a pain to maintain andhard to keep consistent. Inconsistencies in co2 lead to BBA, watch out for that.

Sounds like someone needs to come to a GWAPA meeting and become a member . In fact, the next GWAPA on the 22nd is all about LED lighting.
