I have a ~4 inch oscar who is eating cichlid sticks, just wondering what everyone else feeds their oscars.

I don't keep oscars but have similar New Worlds. I feed a combination of NLS, kensfish flakes, Omega 1 kelp flakes, and occassionally black worms, earthworms, and bugs that I find around the house. My chocolate goes nuts for stinkbugs.

I feed my Oscar's a combination of Hikari pellets, steamed shrimp sliced in pieces and earth worms. Never goldfish, too risky for parasites.

JUST BREED YOUR OWN IN A 20 LONG AND NO PARASITES CUZ YOU FEED AND TAKE CARE OF THEM PROPERLY UNLIKE THE LFS......THEY LET THEM JUST GO...IT RUSSIAN ROULETTE IF YOU DONT BREED YOUR OWN. I USE NLS, HIKARI GOLD, GRASSHOPPERS, CRICKETS, BLOODWORMS, SMELT, CONVICTS, FRY, AND SMALL LIZARDS. HE LOVES THE VARIETY ;).

No worries about earthworms and parasites. They're terrestrial (the worms) and the fish aren't (;))...

I breed my own red wigglers and feed them to lots of cichlids.

Feeder fish - other than bred by you - are a roll of the dice...

Bugs and worms are awesome! Also check out the food that Kensfish sells.
