I have a WC Synodontis tanganicae male (male based on coloration (very dark colored, dominant and territorial), and vent according to two people at Atlantis at time of purchase).
He is about 4-4.5"
PERFECT for Malawi Hap tanks, big fish/monster fish tanks, Tanganyikan cichlid tanks, etc.
This species supposedly can get up to 19.3", but that won't be for a LONG time.. Currently since I bought him back in November or December he grew maybe 1/8".
Eats anything...flakes, pellets, frozen, sliced zucchini...
Asking what I paid for him, $41. This is a SUPER RARE tanganyikan catfish. Atlantis was the first importer to bring them into the USA, probably all of North and South America too.
Oh and they aren't predatory or aggressive.
This species is a bit active. It can be seen swimming around the tank, up at the surface with the haps, etc.
I can bring this down July 9-10 on my way down to North Carolina for a swap meet. I can drop it off at Tony's place (at the bbq) if it's okay with him.
