Hey all,

Some of you may remember the fate of my 6' 150 all-male hap/peacock tank last August....

http://www.capitalcichlids.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10667&highlight=150+wipe

It sucked.

As I posted in another thread, I used that as an opportunity to change gears a bit and branch out into some new world fish.

It's currently stocked with groups of the following species:

  • Satanoperca daemon (Rapps)
  • Acarichthys heckelii (Rapps)
  • Krobia guianensis
  • Geophagus parnaibae
  • Symphysodon spp (Stendker from Hans)
  • Hyphessobrycon anisitsi (Buenos Aires tetra) (George)
  • Pterygoplichthys punctatus (Ranger pleco) (George)
I know there's a lot in it now and I know that some of these boys get quite large. For the time being though, it's all good. I'm planning on moving the discus upstairs to the planted tank once the weather breaks (moving some plants outside - more on that on another thread). Also planning on eventually moving out one of the two large species of eartheaters (heckelii or daemon) as well as thinning the Krobia herd.

Anyway, it's one of my favorite tanks to watch. Lots of gorgeous fish and action to be found.

The tank is currently getting tap water (75% weekly), but should be on rainwater by the end of this weekend (more on that project on another thread as well).

Thanks for looking. :happy0180:

Doesn't get much better than that. To bad you had to loose everything before. Anybody know how to make a minute gravestone for the dearly departed? Would look good in the tank.
