Velvet Disease??

can anyone give me some advice on curing velvet on my 12" umbriferum?hes breathing hard,hanging out at the top and darting from the irritation it causes.

I would try a product containing methylene blue. Also raise the temp of the tank to speed up the process and do extra water changes. Also, Its not really my place to say this but a 45 gallon tank hardly seems big enough for an Umbee of that size.

your absolutely right and i appreciate your honesty,but its only a hospital tank..do you think i should treat him in a larger tank?what is your opinion on copper sulfate?
