Toothy Closeup

Saw those teeth peeking out from the cave and had to grab the camera.

For you DSLR folks. Used the 105mm lens with one speedflash above barely illuminating the fish's head. Full frame closeup with no cropping.

Nice one Bobby.
Forget how big some of the teeth are compared to the over all size of the fish. If that was a 2 foot fish, those chompers would be gigantic.

Wow -- that's a great shot to put on Halloween cards! Looks like a little vampire fish! LOL

Thanks everyone. It was one of those shots that turned out the way I wanted it to. Just enough light to capture the characteristics of the fish, with a tad of spotlight on the teeth. Someone over at APF called it "sinister". That's the mood I was after. :D

If there were any breeding going on, you would be the first to know Sarah. I think all that activity a couple months ago was just they're curiosity showing. :love0001:

Great shot Bobby. Yup, 'sinister' is a perfect description for those very sharp teeth. The lighting makes it even more so.
