OH MY GOSH! You used my post as your siggy - I'm rolling - I might pee myself I'm laughing so hard.

Are you talking about the bottled water ones? I don't have caps - for mine anymore but I may have some extras. Actually, I will have extra when I get that Python cleaner.

I got the rectangular ones (with the cap and built-in spigot) down at the Marine Scene before I bought my RO/DI. Can't remember how much they were, but I believe that they were pretty reasonable, otherwise I would have shopped around a bit.

I still use them to store RO/DI water and bring it or pre-mixed saltwater to work for W/C on my nano reef.

I don't remember seeing any water containers but they do have plastic gas cans with a spout. You might try a camping supply or R/V supply place is a gas can won't work for you.

No, I don't mind about the siggy thing, it's funny.

I use a piece of plastic wrap and a rubberband to keep stuff out - I use one to store collected rainwater and the others for my tank cleaning. The narrow neck keeps the hose in place better than using a bucket and less sloshing on the floor when you are hauling it half way across the house.

Yes, both sell them with water in them and so do most grocery stores - but they've gotten expensive! They are at the front of the store and were running about $13.00 each last time I looked. I think that some wally world's sell them (with water), as well. Tractor supply sells food grade containers, again they are a bit expensive. I seriously considered getting one of the bigger ones, about 90 gallons or so, to use as a grow out for my dempsey's. It's still a serious consideration when we redo the basement and add the fish room. It's cheaper than an aquarium, definately safe for the fish as it is food grade plastic and easier to store when you don't need it.

In Sacramento I bought some 50g plastic drums for like $5 each. Had plans for a filter system of some sort (that I didn't get to).

Sold them on Craigslist within minutes of posting...on Thanksgiving AM.

Just let me know if you want me to bring them to the meeting - or I can bring them to Aquafest, too. I've two right now that I don't use - and I should be able to spare another two in about a month.
