Back in my garage fishroom in Cali I had a couple of them. They started out as water aging bins for my auto water change system...and became homes for a giant lungfish and Ornate Bichir :)

I've also used them from breeding big Malawi cichlids...

Did you use your almost patented dump filter or another means?

The tubs with the lung and bichir were in my garage, so I had both of the drains connected to a hose to my garden. Open the ball valve and I could drain them almost to the bottom. Both, especially the lungfish, are messy eaters. I used a big sponge on both for bio.

For the Malawi tubs I used dumps suspended by 2x4s...and a sponge and a box :)

I'd love to be able to throw some grow outs in one of these and pull them out in the fall. I bet the combo of live foods from the environment, huge water capacity, and sun light, they'd be an awesome sight in 4-5 months.

Outside?

have any pics :)

Yeah i keep it outside. Here's a pic i took when i first set it up last year. My fish did really well as far as growth and color when i had them out there. As a matter of fact i kept those wesseli that i traded to you in there.

Nice - I'd love to do something like that but just need to get the space and time (and containers) ;)

They haven't much weight - if one is good with rope, the roof of most vehicles can be made to serve, though as I recall the drain hole is the only real attachment point.
