I found this really cool article on the source of the amazon river and why it remains a mystery from BBC. It's interesting.
They talk about how they river has many inlets and how scientists have not yet decided which one, if any, can be considered the main source of the river. The flow changes seasonally so they don't haven't determined the "source" yet.
