Super Pet Expo

The Super Pet Expo is at the Dulles Town Center next weekend. I saw on their site that WAMAS is a sponsor and vendor and PVAS is also listed as a vendor. Does CCA have any plans to be represented at this event?

They send me flyers every year. Seems like a dog and cat show. Never saw anything in the three page flyer about fish.

It looks like this is the first year that fish/reptiles are included. Check out the website for the expo and look at the list of vendors.

Phil- know of any fish stores in that area?

There's a couple of PetMarts...that's about it. Well, that I know of.

Not too far from the Marine Scene.. which is a pretty nice reef store on the toll road.

Annandale Superpets is a bit further down the beltway, but generally has a decent selection of cichlids.

Is anyone really thinking of going?

Local Pet Stores:

Centreville Aquarium, Centreville, VA (about 15 minutes away. A small store, but very nice. Tell Dave that Sherry from PVAS sent you. He's a great guy.)

Aquatic Obsession, Manassas, VA (about 20 minutes away. New store, great design
and interesting fish.)

Blue Ribbon Koi, (Catharpin, VA) (about 30 minutes away. Owner will be exhibiting at the show. He has a vast selection of saltwater and sells koi and goldfish.)

Further out:

Super Pets (Annandale, VA) (about 40 minutes away. A local favorite with fish people.)

The show doesn't open until 4:00 PM today, Friday.

Hours are:

Friday 4 - 9 PM

Saturday: 10 AM - 7 PM

Sunday: 10 AM - 5 PM

I was supposed to be selling gold fish and koi with Seagatefilters Inc.

They will be at the show selling goldfish not me tho. I got a new part time job that I start this Saturday. Bummer.

There is supposed to be another guy there selling tropical and saltwater fish I believe.

I just got back from it, slapped with a $13 door charge I was not aware of. There weren't many fish/aquarium setups in fact, the only freshwater stand was PVAS. It was fun to talk to them and they even gave me some bronze cory fry. There were two saltwater stands, some pond stuff/goldfish and kois, and pond filters. It's mostly a dog expo, got tons of free goodies for my pooches. Also a cool reptile stand, they had a bunch of neat critters. Unless you've got dogs I'd skip it, but it was fun.

Thanks for the info Bertolli- I think you may have saved me a trip. Maybe I will check out Annandale super pets instead. I have never been there before.

I live 5 minutes from superpetz, they have tanks on sale right now, 75G is $100 not bad. They have a great selection of fish but they're stuff is a bit pricey, I usually just go there to look and buy little things.

Mark,

Do you remember if they had any cool haps at Superpets whenyou were there? Haven't been down there in a bit. Usually couple my trip there with some Korean BBQ.... Which is in abundance down there.
