Jon is absolutely correct. Hatchets are the only actual fish that can use is pectoral and other bottom fins to glide through water, then air. "Flying fish" are not actually flying, they skip across the water and jump really high. Good luck! I am not getting anything from Jeff Michels.

I've tried hatchets a few times and never been able to prevent them from becoming fish jerky. Good luck.

Getting a pair of wild type bettas and hopefully, some buffalo heads.

A friend of mine had a whole school of hatchets jump out of his 150 while cleaning it. The lead fish went and the whole dang school followed suit, like lemmings.

I'm getting 6 Dicrossus filamentosa, the fish that brought me to this group. With any luck, I'll get a pair or two out of that and we'll see what happens.
