I think both are males.

The herichthys looks male to me. Females will typically (but not always) have a black blotch on the dorsal fin.

The only way you can know 100% is to breed it with an EBJD. If you have EBJD offspring, the normal colored is a blue gene, if not you will get all normal offspring(but they will carry the blue gene).
