Get a plane ticket to Belize or Guatamala, fly down catch one and fly back, No one goes to those areas very often so we seldom see wild ones. Ken

Didn't rusty wessel do a presentation on wild rocio at the aca in Sacramento?

I remember thinking to myself that they don't look much different than the farm ones in the hobby... Although I seem to remember that there were additional proposed rocio species

There are now three reconnized species now in the JD complex. Just no one bothers to bring wild ones back because they are so common in the hobby.
They give me sh@t when I keep the convicts when we are collecting! But I have introduced 4-5 new convict type fish that are now established and they all turned out to be A. siquia so I'm glad I kept them!
If I ever collect any wild JD I will keep them too.

I'm with you on the wild convicts Ken! They're some of my favorite fish...

You've played a great role in bringing "real" convicts back to the hobby.

Know of anywhere (YouTube?) where there's a copy of the 3 Rocio species presentation?

Matt

What are the species in the JD complex? I guess it is unlikely I'll find one for sale, huh? That is really a bummer.
